Stage by stage together
On your way to getting your Bachelor of Engineering degree, you will collect practical professional experience with us – and in multiple companies, different training stations and at different locations within the Group. Courses switch between academic and practical stages around every three months. You complete the theory stages at HWR Berlin and the practical stages at one of our locations.
Theory and practice
We work with the HWR Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht in Berlin (Berlin School of Economics and Law) to teach theoretical knowledge.

During the practical training, you can expect demanding tasks and diverse challenges. You will be able to directly apply and expand on the knowledge you have acquired in your studies.
Procurement and investment management
Lots of threads come together here: You will learn how to procure products, carry out analysis activities and process optimisations and develop and implement action strategies for quality assurance/improvement and cost optimisation. Your teaching content also includes the management of service providers and active contract management, risk analyses in the context of transactions and subject-related processes that you first develop together with colleagues and then implement. You also help to manage corporate entities outside the basis of consolidation of the Deutsche Wohnen Group as part of operational investment management. These include, for example, energy management and facility management.
Technical and infrastructure management
You’re involved in day-to-day technical issues that arise in our locations across Germany. You’ll learn about different aspects of technical management of our property portfolios, such as lift maintenance, waste management and fire safety. You’ll also get a glimpse of exciting projects such as the launch of a digital locking system.
Technical project management
Here, your creativity knows no bounds: you’ll work with architects and engineers, helping them to modernize residential units and plan construction of new ones. You’ll learn how to commission, monitor and accept building works, making a major contribution to neighbourhood development and design.
Full of energy: energy management organizes all activities involved in energy supply and use. Finding eco-friendly solutions will play a key role in all decision-making. Particularly exciting projects include strategic and conceptual energy procurement analyses and optimization of energy production plants.
We care about customer satisfaction: discover how we manage infrastructure services for our property portfolio. As a key point of contact on site, you’ll get to grips with responsibilities such as minor repairs and vacancy inspections, with customer satisfaction as your goal. You will also be introduced to areas such as traffic safety and quality management.
Without functioning IT nobody can work: you will support all other departments in their cross-divisional business and system processes. This involves design, planning and mapping technical requirements.
