Neighbourhood art A Mural für a good purpose

Deutsche Wohnen donated a mural design to a charity auction held by the industry association Verein der Berliner Kaufleute und Industriellen (VBKI), which sold for EUR 35,000 in late October 2020.

The work, entitled “Blossom”, is now complete and adorns the facade of a building on Leopoldstraße in Berlin’s Lichtenberg district. It was painted by the artist Gita Kurdpoor, who previously designed the “Metamorphosis” mural on Hainleiteweg in the capital’s Spandau district for Deutsche Wohnen.

All proceeds from the auction will go towards the VBKI's “Einstieg zum Aufstieg” initiative and the Berlin Sparkasse. The initiative supports finding placements for immigrants on the Berlin jobs market.
