There are several events coming up in the next few months: Deutsche Wohnen will join the REAL | PropTech property sector conference on digitisation and innovation in Berlin in early September as a sponsor. Deutsche Wohnen is a future corporate member of blackprint Booster | TECH HUB der deutschen Immobilienwirtschaft. The company is now also a premium partner and co-host for selected events for the Digital meets Real Estate (DMRE) initiative. The aim of all the projects is to promote exchange in the industry, connect players from the digital and property sectors and meet interesting companies.
At Deutsche Wohnen, digitisation is an intrinsic aspect of our company strategy. The company is already driving digital change in the housing sector and is in close contact with the property technology, or proptech scene, which combines property products and information technology.
With its commitment to the real estate and digital scene, Deutsche Wohnen is taking the next step: REAL | PropTech, which is being held for the third time in Berlin on 5 September 2019, is Germany’s leading conference on the transformation of the property sector and focuses on digital business models with the potential to alter the sector permanently. The concept of the conference is to bringing together decision makers from the established property sector with the most innovative minds in the world of tech. The event schedule illustrates the full range of talking points surrounding innovation and digitisation. Membership of blackprint Booster | TECH HUB der deutschen Immobilienwirtschaft, meanwhile, is aimed at long-term networking with the growing number of property industry start-ups and entrepreneurs.
The DMRE is planning conferences, meetups and webinars as well as its own study, podcast productions and a PropTech Influencer Award. The highlight is the Smart Digital Real Estate #thenextlevel online summit on 25 October. The agenda for this virtual conference is packed with talks and discussions on all things relating to proptech, which will be streamed live on the Internet.
Simon Stöckicht, Director of Product Communication/Digitisation, will represent Deutsche Wohnen as a speaker at the DMRE. ‘Our aim is to be leaders of innovation, and we would like to take a leading role in digitisation in the property industry,’ says Stöckicht. Added value for tenants is always the focus: ‘Our customers should benefit from digitisation, such as through new services.’ Deutsche Wohnen also wishes to continue optimising management processes through digital solutions. ‘As an opinion leader, our aim is to promote exchange in the industry further’ – this is how Simon Stöckicht sums up the commitment.
The company’s current use of digital solutions to drive the housing sector forward is illustrated by successful projects with partners such as WIRMAG (zero-emissions heat generation and heating systems), Kiwi (keyless entry systems), Synvia (formerly Getec Media, smart building networks) and Convaron (formerly VRnow, digital floor plans).
