    Deutsche Wohnen supports the Füchse Berlin with an additional stand for their home game

    On 18th April, the Füchse Berlin have a home game in the national handball league against THW Kiel. The game is seen as a highlight in the season and, thanks to Deutsche Wohnen, can be enjoyed by even more fans. The Berlin-based property company is financing the construction of a stand with an additional 1,000 seats. The proceeds from the sale of these extra tickets will be used to benefit the youth work of the Berlin Füchse.

    Deutsche Wohnen refurbishes 50-year-old building according to criteria for new builds and receives award from the German Association for Sustainable Building

    We usually only act as sustainably as this with new builds. This was the standard that Deutsche Wohnen set itself when refurbishing the residential and office building in Argentinische Allee. The company had the entire process from planning through to construction certified by the German Association for Sustainable Building [Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen – DGNB]. The sustainability certification of the DGNB was in accordance with the requirements set out in the utilisation profile for new, mixed-use buildings.

    Deutsche Wohnen acquires a further block

    Through its subsidiary DWRE Alpha GmbH, the Deutsche Wohnen Group has acquired a further block in Karl-Marx-Allee in Berlin-Friedrichshain from Predac. The property in question is Block F-North, Karl-Marx-Allee 133, 135, 137, 139, 141 and 143. It is intended that this block too will be a long-term addition to the rental properties of the Deutsche Wohnen Group.

    Deutsche Wohnen builds flats for rental in Leipzig

    Together with Dorothee Dubrau, Leipzig’s deputy mayor in charge of construction, Deutsche Wohnen celebrated a ground-breaking ceremony today for its first new-build project here in the trade fair city. In the coming months, a total of 44 flats for rental will be built as part of a new waterside development at Lindenau harbour. The development is characterised, above all, by high standards of construction and living comfort. The building work, which has an estimated investment volume of approximately EUR 15 million, is expected to be completed in spring 2020. The first flats should be ready for occupation as early as 2019.
