Gropiusstadt is now a flourishing development with detached family homes, apartment blocks ranging from three to six storeys, tower blocks and lots of green space!
Gropiusstadt is part of Neukölln and was designed and built by founding Bauhaus member Walter Gropius between 1963 and 1973. A combination of tower blocks and two-storey apartment buildings shapes this part of Berlin. Families particularly love the leafy surrounding area with plenty of leisure options. The appealing local shops on Johannisthaler Chaussee have become a popular shopping destination.
The Gropius Passagen is one of Germany’s largest shopping centres. There, you can find everything your heart desires. And the local restaurants are a lovely place to pass the time.
The outstanding infrastructure and U-Bahn underground connections are further highlights: the centre of Neukölln is only ten minutes away and it takes just half an hour to reach Berlin city.
