Living on the waterfront

With its appealing waterside location, the Lindenauer Hafen is a very special place for a new development. The city of Leipzig has decided to create a harmonious neighbourhood produced by different developers. Deutsche Wohnen is developing two of the buildings – with 44 apartments and one commercial unit. All residential units are accessible and suitable for wheelchair users with features such as wider doorframes. Tenants will be able to use the KIWI keyless locking system throughout the buildings. High-quality construction that takes into consideration modern environmental requirements is at the heart of the planning. The planned move-in date for the first tenants is late 2019.

In October 2018, Deutsche Wohnen held a groundbreaking ceremony for its first new development in Leipzig, attended by Leipzig’s deputy mayor in charge of construction, Dorothee Dubrau.

Neighbourhood approach

The city of Leipzig is prioritising the creation of a lively neighbourhood on the Lindenauer Hafen port. As a partner in this project, we have been thinking, planning and working in terms of neighbourhoods – not just individual apartments – for decades.
