Renting a residential unit

  • Completed self-declaration
  • Completed SCHUFA report
  • Copy of proof of income for the last three months or your current pension statement
  • Display of personal ID or copy of your valid passport with your current registration certificate or copy of personal ID with the following details
    • name
    • current registered address
    • date and place of birth
    • validity of the document
    Please black out all other information for data protection purposes.
  • Confirmation from your current landlord that no rent is owed or suitable evidence of your regular rent payment.
  • Optional: valid certificate of entitlement to public housing (WBS).

Please note that we need the documents of all prospective tenants.

Renting a commercial space

  • Completed prospective customer form
  • Proof of income (e.g. business assessment, balance sheet, net income accounts, other proof of cash flow)
  • ID or a copy of ID belonging to the owners/managing directors (for all natural persons) with the following information: name, current registered address, date and place of birth and validity of the document. Please black out all other information for data protection purposes.
  • Confirmation from previous landlord that no rent is owed (certificate of no rent owed) or suitable evidence of your regular rent payment.
  • SCHUFA or Creditreform credit report
  • Business registration (copy), tax number
  • Concept (operator's plan for the business)
  • Extract from the Commercial Register

Renting a parking space/garage

  • Display or copy of personal ID with the following details: name, current registered address, date and place of birth and validity of the document. Please black out all other information for data protection purposes.
  • Or: a copy of your valid passport and your current registration certificate.
  • Completed SCHUFA report on rental contracts and completed SCHUFA information

Renting a room/apartment

  • Display or copy of personal ID with the following details: name, current registered address, date and place of birth and validity of the document. Please black out all other information for data protection purposes.
  • Or: a copy of your valid passport and your current registration certificate.
  • Proof of income for the last three months or statement of cover from the social security office or job centre.
  • Or: a copy of your signed employment contract.
  • Completed SCHUFA report on rental contracts and completed SCHUFA information.
