Annual General Meeting of Deutsche Wohnen elects three new Supervisory Board members
Deutsche Wohnen SE held its Annual General Meeting today. The agenda included the election of three Supervisory Board members. Catrin Coners, Peter Hohlbein and Christoph Schauerte were elected to the Supervisory Board with a large majority. At the constituent meeting following the Annual General Meeting, the Supervisory Board elected Dr. Fabian Heß as its Chairman.

Deutsche Wohnen moves up into the DAX
From 22 June 2020, the Deutsche Wohnen share will be listed in the leading German share index DAX. This has been decided by the German stock exchange on the basis of the criteria for inclusion as part of its fast-entry procedure. Since going public in 1999, the market capitalisation of the company and the trading volume of the Deutsche Wohnen share have risen continuously and now meet the technical criteria for inclusion in this index.

Shop windows come to life – Deutsche Wohnen supports “cultural shop windows” as part of SAVE, a state programme to secure the audio-visual heritage of Saxony
As part of its project “cultural shop windows”, the Saxon State and University Library Dresden (SLUB Dresden) is projecting digitised silent film footage onto shop windows in the city. And Deutsche Wohnen is making commercial units available in Wilsdruffer Straße free of charge so that this footage can be shown on their windows. In addition, the company is supporting this project with a financial donation towards the cost of technical equipment.

Deutsche Wohnen demands an amicable solution in the proceedings concerning Karl-Marx-Allee
Deutsche Wohnen welcomes the rulings of the Higher Regional Court of Berlin of last Thursday. In two appeal proceedings, the court decided to reject the appeals with which the housing association Friedrichshain mbH [Wohnungsbaugeselleschaft Friedrichshain – WBF] had once again sought to obtain interim injunctions against the purchase of Blocks B-North and C-South by Deutsche Wohnen. In the third set of proceedings, the court intends to reject the appeal of WBF by means of a simple decision, i.e. without an actual hearing, on the grounds that the appeal is clearly unfounded.

Voluntary public takeover offer by Vonovia likely not successful
Today, Deutsche Wohnen SE (“Deutsche Wohnen”) has been informed that the takeover offer by Vonovia SE (“Vonovia”) published on June 23, 2021 will likely not be successful. The minimum acceptance level of at least 50 percent of the Deutsche Wohnen shares issued at the time of the expiry of the acceptance period will not be reached according to the current estimate. Deutsche Wohnen has taken notice of the shareholder decision and will analyse the situation and the next steps accordingly.

Lars Urbansky joins Management Board of Deutsche Wohnen SE
The Supervisory Board of the Deutsche Wohnen SE has appointed Lars Urbansky (born 1976) as a new member of the Executive Board with effect from 1 April 2019. He is currently Managing Director of Deutsche Wohnen Immobilien Management GmbH.

Deutsche Wohnen shareholders vote for reduced dividend and make a clear commitment to solidarity in the corona crisis
At today’s Annual General Meeting of Deutsche Wohnen SE, the shareholders supported the proposal of the Management and Supervisory Boards to pay out a dividend of EUR 0.90 per share. This corresponds to a reduction of the originally planned payout ratio by 5 percentage points to 60%.

Deutsche Wohnen expands Management Board to include Henrik Thomsen
The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Wohnen SE decided today to appoint Henrik Thomsen (born 1964) onto the Management Board of the company. Mr Thomsen will take up his position with Deutsche Wohnen by 1 January 2020 at the latest.
