Berlin Mural Fest 2019
The Berlin Mural Fest (BMF) 2019, saw the crème de la crème of the urban art scene designing wall art of huge proportions and adorning the walls of many Deutsche Wohnen buildings in Berlin with their murals.
Berlin Mural Fest is the city’s biggest open-air gallery and was held for the first time in 2018. In the year 2019 local artists, including the collective Die Dixons, were joined once again by a wealth of global greats, such as PichiAvo and Okuda San Miguel (Spain), Adry del Rocio (Mexico) and Victor Ash (France).

Deutsche Wohnen is committed to developing the urban art scene. As cooperation partner of the second Berlin Mural Fest, the company made building walls on ten of its properties available for urban artists to use as their canvas.
The district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf became a hotspot for mural lovers: many new works of art sprung up here. The buildings’ architecture makes their surfaces ideal for large-scale murals. Deutsche Wohnen was also eager to draw public attention to districts on the outskirts of Berlin and show how vibrant neighbourhoods outside the S-Bahn ring can be, too.
