Deutsche Wohnen and Berlin Handball Association enter into partnership
Deutsche Wohnen and the Berlin Handball Association [Handball-Verband Berlin e.V., HVB] entered into a partnership as of 1 January 2020. Over the next three years, Deutsche Wohnen will give active support to the Berlin Handball Association, particularly in the area of youth development.

Neighbourhood art: Berlin Mural Fest 2021
After being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, the Berlin Mural Festival (BMF) has maked a comeback this year. From 9 August 2021, local street artists brightened the walls of our buildings with their huge murals. It came to an end with a night walk on 4 September.

Building Berlin: combining affordable living space with high standards of urban development
This issue was the focus of the fifth Metropolitan Talk, which took place as part of an exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of Greater Berlin. On 22 October, a panel including Henrik Thomsen, CDO of Deutsche Wohnen, and Regula Lüscher, the city of Berlin’s building director, came together at the exhibition space in the Kronprinzenpalais for lively discussions.

Deutsche Wohnen sells around 11,000 residential and commercial units to the State of Berlin
Deutsche Wohnen and the State of Berlin have reached an agreement on the sale of selected properties from the company's portfolio. The agreement, which Deutsche Wohnen has concluded with the three state companies HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH, degewo AG and Berlinovo Immobilien Gesellschaft mbH, comprises the sale of nearly 10,700 residential units and more than 200 commercial units in Berlin.

A Mural für a good purpose
Deutsche Wohnen donated a mural design to a charity auction held by the industry association Verein der Berliner Kaufleute und Industriellen (VBKI), which sold for EUR 35,000 in late October 2020. The work, entitled “Blossom”, is now complete.

Deutsche Wohnen supports the Füchse Berlin with an additional stand for their home game
On 18th April, the Füchse Berlin have a home game in the national handball league against THW Kiel. The game is seen as a highlight in the season and, thanks to Deutsche Wohnen, can be enjoyed by even more fans. The Berlin-based property company is financing the construction of a stand with an additional 1,000 seats. The proceeds from the sale of these extra tickets will be used to benefit the youth work of the Berlin Füchse.
